Organic Gluten-Free Pasta
L'Abruzzese has created some unique and tasty gluten-free pasta...and it's organic, too!We have combined the goodness of organic besan flour (made from chickpeas) together with organic buckwheat to produce a flavoursome pasta that is high in protein and fibre.
The pasta also cooks & holds well !
What is Buckwheat? If you think that Buckwheat is a wheat, think again! Buckwheat is actually a fruit seed in the rhubarb family, which is often ground into flour, is gluten-free and a good source of fibre and magnesium.
Look out for our organic lentil & rice pasta varieties aswell. Lentils are the seeds of legumes with some significant health benefits:
- are low in fat
- high in protein (up to 25%) - infact, higher than beef
- are extremely good source of dietary fibre
- good source of B-complex vitamins (folate)
- provide significant amounts of iron & potassium

Something to note:
As Organic flours have no chemicals or nasties added to them, the smell of the grains (and hence the pasta) may be a little different from "typical" wheat / pasta.Rest assurred that all our pasta maintains quality & freshness!
